LAPEL
A lapel microphone, also known as a lavalier or clip-on microphone, is a small, discreet microphone designed to be clipped onto clothing, typically near the lapel, tie, or collar. Its primary advantage is hands-free operation, allowing the user to move freely while speaking or performing. Lapel mics are commonly used in television, film, public speaking, theater, interviews, and vlogging due to their unobtrusive nature and ability to capture clear audio from a close proximity to the mouth. They come in both wired and wireless versions, and are usually condenser microphones for their sensitivity.
